Thorn pome (Rosa Roxbunghii Juice Powder) also known as thorn pear, thorn apple, wood pear, and others, is a member of the rose family and grows on sunny slopes, valleys, roadsides, and in shrubs at altitudes of 500–2500 meters. Thorn pome is rich in carbohydrates, proteins, amino acids, vitamins (including high levels of Vitamin C, Vitamin P, B vitamins, Vitamin E, folic acid, and carotenoids), trace elements, and enzymes (such as superoxide dismutase and peroxidase). It is mainly used fresh, for making wine, or for drying.
