Plant Origin
Apples (Latin name: Malus pumila Mill.) also known as peace fruit, wisdom fruit, Pingbo, extraordinary seeds, natural seeds, and belong to the Rosaceae family. There are about 100 varieties of apples, with common ones including Fuji, Golden Delicious, Red Star, Red Jade, Guoguang, Gala, and Red Snake Apple. Red Star apples are relatively large, with bright skin, thin skin, and juicy, sweet, and delicious flesh. Apples originated in Europe, Central Asia, North America, and Xinjiang, China. Apples are high in potassium, which helps to balance excess sodium in the body. Consuming apples can help regulate electrolyte levels when sodium intake is high.
